This page explains, in plain words, what Typenexa and Typenexa Keyboard do with information. It may change over time, and we will update the date above when it does.
Who we are
Typenexa is a tech brand. Typenexa Keyboard is our first product, and it is for Android only. You can reach us at [email protected].
This website
typenexa.com is an informational site. It has no accounts and no sign-up forms. Like most websites, the services that host and deliver it, and the font service it loads fonts from, may receive standard request information such as your IP address.
What the keyboard does not do
- It does not upload what you type, your clipboard, your notes, your contacts or your location.
- It has no ads, and no analytics or tracking SDKs.
Information the keyboard can send to us
Everything below is sent to typenexa.com.
- Install report (optional). The app asks, and you choose Allow or Not now. If you allow it, it sends a random install ID, the app version, your phone's make and model, and your Android version.
- Usage count (optional, off by default). This is a separate switch. If you turn it on, it sends only a separate random ID and the app version, at most once a day.
- Feedback (only when you tap Send). It sends your name (optional), your message, a 1 to 5 rating and the app version. Nothing else from your phone is attached.
The IDs are random. They are not your name. Like any website request, our server and its host can see technical request information such as your IP address.
What stays on your device
Notes and clipboard history are stored only on your device, and they are encrypted. Voice typing uses Android's on-device speech recognition.
Other apps and services
Some features open other apps or services, for example Google search from Command Mode, WhatsApp, UPI apps, maps or calls. When you choose to use them, what you send goes to that app or service, which has its own privacy rules. Text you type into an app is handled by that app.
What we store
The install, usage and feedback information listed above is stored on our server at typenexa.com. We use it to understand how the keyboard is doing and to improve it.
